If you want to try a download with a Duplicati downloader, Duplicati.CommandLine.BackendTool.exe getcan do it. Use a URL similar to what Export As Command-line has, except add the desired filename to it.
Thanks for your answer. Before purging and reuploading the files I made a copy of them in another folder on Jottacloud. So I was able to find back the original files. I did what you asked (checked the size and downloaded them). The result is very surprising!After downloading the original files, the local filesize was exactly the expected size. So, for the first file, it was 433959789 instead of 387973120, likewise for the second one.In the Jottacloud web interface (from which I also downloaded the files) I can see that the displayed size (which only shows in MB) is in line with the expected sizes as well.So it seems like Duplicati somehow misreads the filesize and hence considers the test as failed - most probably wrongly.
You can also test all of your files if you like, to see if they download currently and have expected size and data. This can of course take awhile if you have a large backup or slow download speed. To run this, seeThe TEST command which you can run from GUI Commandline or from shell Export As Command-line. Either way, you start with a backup command and edit the format into what you want (in this case, test).
Above mentions restore, but it affects all downloads I believe, including those done in test and compact.Possibly the below option is relevant by default, but if you need to tune, threads might be your first target:
Give it the URL from Export As Command-line and see if it says that your unobtainable files are present.What date do they have? In the Jottacloud web UI. I was also able to do a test restore of the files affected by them (found out via the AFFECTED command). Just do make sure I tried to download duplicati-b0ecf865843e2496780512880cabed88d.dblock.zip.aes which worked nicely.
The other thing that is odd here is that it looks like the backup starts with an immense number of downloads, going through dlist files, then dindex, then dblock (which is when some downloads are getting the 404 error).
Not sure if you are surprised by the order of the file downloads or the amount of files it downloads. I deliberately take a big sample - backup test percentage is 5% (but as I pointed out in another topic before, Duplicati doubles that percentage to 10%). Also, the backup data is 510 GB and the blocksize is 500MB. So we are talking about a sizeable backup here.
Some time in the last month or so Firefox has started downloading .csv files as .json. I need the files in .csv format so I can work with them in Excel. These are large files I don't want to deal with the trouble of converting them every time. I've started using Chrome just so the files download correctly. I can't find any setting to change to make .csv the default again.
I clicked the Tables button and tried a download. I was promised five six files (first screenshot), which could only mean it would be a compressed archive like a ZIP file. When I check the details of the server response on the download (second screenshot), they named the file with a .zip extension but they erroneously identified it as a JSON file. So Firefox (un)helpfully changed the file extension from .zip to .json (sigh).
I am still downloading .csv files as such. On one site I click on a downloader provided by the website, on another I right-click the file and select "save link as". I download other types of files as well, all without any issue.
I'm downloading the files from the Census Bureau /cedsci/advanced. I've attached a screenshot of the download menu. It says the files should be .csv but they download as .json. They should download as a zipped folder with the .csv files inside. They still download this way with Chrome. There is no menu to change the file type before the download starts and I choose to either save the file or open it.
We are facing intermittent failures while acquiring packages during deployment in few environments having 50+ deployment targets. There are 26 packages being acquired on these machines. During few deployments, package acquire fails for random package, while same package downloaded successfully on other machines in same deployment.
We have noticed that in such errors, the package file is present on the machine where it notified to be failed, but the size of package is not correct and the package file is faulty. to fix the error, we have to manually delete the file and re-try the deployment. We have found idle timeouts errors on our feed endpoint logs, though there is no network contention or IOPS issues. There should be some better error handling instead of runtime error. May be addition of logic to delete the corrupt package and re-try (like we do in case of normal timeout to fetch package from feed endpoint). We will also like to get some help in to understand about the idle timeouts if possible, ideally if package file is not downloaded completely, the file name should be different indicating download is not complete, thats not the case in these errors.
Usually package size is greater than 100MB. But we have multiple such packages and it fails randomly for 1-2 servers out of 50+ and for rest it downloads perfectly. As soon as we delete corrupt file, we are good for re-acquire. I am suspecting number of requests to feed within short time period is culprit. With max parallel package acquire set to 100, occurrence of failure was frequent. After reducing it to 50, frequency has reduced.
The root of the issue seems to be a timing problem where near simultaneous downloads attempt to pull a still-downloading package from cache rather than from the source. The fixed was applied to all versions 2020.5 and later.
